OUR STORY

Doing Life Today Started with a Diagnosis
and a Microphone

What began as one person trying to understand Parkinson's became a global community helping thousands navigate life with the disease.

Doing Life Today now connects people living with Parkinson's, care partners, and families through podcasts, conversations, and community support.

A Diagnosis. A Decision. A Community.

When Bryce Perry was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at age 40, he did what many people do after hearing the words.

He went home, opened his laptop, and started searching for answers.

What he found was plenty of medical information - but very little that explained what everyday life with Parkinson's actually felt like.

There were symptoms and treatment descriptions, but not many honest conversations about the fear, uncertainty, humor, frustration, and resilience that come with living with the disease.

So Bryce decided to create what he couldn't find.

With a simple microphone and no podcast experience, he recorded his first conversation about life with Parkinson's.

He shared the fear.
The uncertainty.
The strange humor that can appear when life changes suddenly.

He posted the episode online expecting maybe a handful of listeners.

Instead, people from around the world started listening.

Thousands showed up.

That moment became the beginning of what would grow into Doing Life Today - a platform built around real conversations, practical support, and community for people navigating Parkinson's.

Our Mission & Values

Everything we build and everything we do flows from these core commitments.

๐Ÿ’ฌ

Radical Honesty

We don't pretend Parkinson's is easy. We don't minimize the hard parts. We create space for the full reality of this journey - the grief, the humor, the breakthroughs, and everything in between.

๐Ÿค

Peer Power

We believe lived experience is a form of expertise. The wisdom of our community members is at the heart of everything we do. No one understands Parkinson's better than people living with it.

๐Ÿ”ฌ

Evidence-Informed

We partner with medical professionals and researchers to ensure our content is grounded in current science - while never losing our human voice.

โ™ฟ

Accessibility First

Our platforms are designed with accessibility at the core. Large text, high contrast, screen reader compatibility, closed captions - every tool built for every member.

๐Ÿ“ฃ

Advocacy

We equip our community to advocate - for themselves in medical settings, for policy change, and for the broader Parkinson's cause in their communities.

๐ŸŒฑ

Growth Mindset

A diagnosis is not a destination. We believe in continual growth - physically, emotionally, and spiritually - and we build tools that support that growth every day.
